Many Web Developers debate whether Conditional Comments should be used. Some argue that Conditional Comments are against the fight for web standards and thus should not be used, while others feel they are a nessecary part of web standards. Which ever stance you take, our purpose is to to blend the browser differences so everyone can view the web the same way.
Conditional Comments are sets of code that a browser will render in one browser and overlook in another. The basic structure of the typical conditional comment is based on an HTML comment. In addition to the typical Conditional Comment, there are other pieces of CSS code, Known as CSS Hacks that can function like a conditional comment because of how different browsers skip and overlook the code.
